Financial Information & Policies
Every effort is made to keep the cost of dental care as low as possible. Payment for treatment is expected at the time of the visit. If treatment will require several visits, you will receive an estimate of the proposed services so financial arrangements may be made.
Please be aware that the parent or legal guardian who brings the child to our office is legally responsible for payment of all charges. Fees and payments will be discussed with patients and/or parent/legal guardians in strict confidence.
To assist you, several options are available for your payment convenience:
- Payment by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) at the time treatment is rendered
- CareCredit
- Insurance
Our Office Policy Regarding Dental Insurance
Insurance
Our goal is to assist you in maximizing your insurance benefits to receive quality dental care. We care for patients with insurance from many employers. Each plan is slightly different in its covered services. We encourage you to become familiar with your policy’s exclusions, deductibles, annual maximums, and required copayments.
Our courtesy service to you includes: electronically filing your insurance claim within 24 hours of your visit and requesting payment of your benefit to our office; re-filing your claim within 30 days, if necessary; and following American Dental Association guidelines for coding procedures and filing claims.
Our expectations of you as the owner of the policy include: paying fees not covered by your plan at the time treatment is performed; paying your account balance if your insurance company does not pay within 45 days; recognizing that dental insurance policies may use restricted fee schedules and may exclude some procedures (all restrictions are based on the premium paid for insurance and not on our fees or recommended treatment); and keeping our office informed of any changes in your insurance coverage or employment.
Medical Card Coverage
Any children who receive Medicaid must bring a current medical card to each visit. Medicaid will pay for eligible dental services as long as the child is covered by the program.
